7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
7:00pm, 7:45pm, 8:30pm
$16 whole night (admission to one or more classes + party) or $14 (party only)
Always wanted to try partner dancing, but thought it was too hard (or scary)?
Pro instructors David Canavese and Stacey Fong will guide you from being “beginner” to “experienced”–one week (and step) at a time–in this Tuesday night Social Ballroom Dance Series that teaches different dances each month.
Learn to lead or follow (your choice) in these fun classes that gradually ramp up your skills. Don’t forget to stay afterwards for the party, where you can unwind, meet new friends, socialize, and practice your newly-acquired skills!
7:00 pm Beginner Bachata Class
7:45 pm Intermediate Bachata Class
8:30 pm Advanced (Ballroom) Tango Class
9:15 pm Practice Party!
—> $16 any/all CLASSES + PARTY
—> $14 PARTY ONLY
BEGINNERS: Two left feet are welcome!
-Try the Beginner Class at 7pm
-If it feels fairly easy, stay for Intermediate at 7:45 (we make that transition easy)
-When Intermediate becomes easy for you, you can follow that month’s dance up to “Advanced” level the following month
(for example: if Bachata is this month’s Beg/Int class, it’ll be next month’s Adv class)
EXPERIENCED DANCERS: Hey, you’re awesome.
-Come to all 3 classes (get a great value!)
-Practice your skills and meet new people
-Newer dancers will benefit from dancing with you!
-Once you’ve mastered leading, learn to follow! (or vice versa); learning to be a “switch” means you never need to sit out a dance!
We teach 9 core dances:
Bachata, Waltz, Cha Cha, Ballroom Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Night Club Two Step, & Hustle
With occasional forays into (more advanced dances):
Samba, Quickstep, Bolero, & Viennese Waltz
About the Instructors
David Canavese: David regards himself as an ambassador for partner dancing, and his enthusiasm, experience, and passion for making dance fun and easy are always evident. He’s taught kids as young as 10 years old and seniors as old as 90, and has taught group classes with well over 100 students. He has been teaching full-time since 2008 and has been dancing since 1998.
Stacey Fong: Stacey has been a dance instructor for many years and also teaches Zumba fitness. While she counts Salsa and Bachata among her favorite social dances, she believes there is something to love about every style of dance. Her focus as a teacher is in bringing out the dancer within everyone: “So many of us start learning to dance believing that we can’t do it, but we CAN, and I can’t wait to be part of your journey!”
